Editing Graphs and Charts

Because of the time required to alter graphs and charts, these are best checked earlier on than the copyediting stage. Since that rarely happens, proofreaders, especially, should put graphs and all illustrations through a thorough quality check.

Whether you’re proofreading or doing a more substantive review, this printable checklist can help!

The professional standards do not require editors to do more than simple math, but they can check all the words, proportions, congruence with the body text, legibility, and more.
